Lee Tilson
Lee Tilson, Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Attorney
Lee Tilson graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1972, with a B.A. in Philosophy & Math. He received an M.A. in Philospohy from Wayne State University in 1975, and passed his Ph.D. qualifying exams with distinction in Logic. Tilson received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in December of 1981.
Since 1982, Tilson has worked at Sommers, Schwartz, Silver, and Schwartz, first as an attorney, and now as a partner. Tilson has served as a founding member of the Plaintiffs' Medical Association from 1991-2002. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Birth Trauma Litigation Group, and the Founder, Chair, Co-Chair, and Executive Committee member of the Program Committee for Profoundly Injured Child Seminar. His other ATLA Memberships include: the HMO Litigation Group, the Medical Negligence Litigation Group, the Scientific & Medical Integrity Committee, the Professional Negligence Section, the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association (1982 – present, and the Executive Board from 1986 - 1995). Tilson is the Co-chair of the Coalition Comm., Dep. & Irog. Bank, serves on the State Delegate to the American Trial Lawyers Association, and has been the Coordinator of two "Protect Your Rights" Conferences. Tilson's list of law school lectures includes:

Tilson has served as the Founder, Organizer & Lecturer at the Daubert Conference in September of 2002 at WSU Law School, participated in the Michigan Supreme Court Controversy conference in October 2000 at WSU Law School. He received the American Bar Assoc. Award in May 2001, and serves as a Co-Sponsors for WSU Law Student Board of Governors and the Young Lawyer Section State Bar of Michigan.
