Honeywell Wrongful Death Suit
The corporation pled guilty to negligently releasing hazardous air pollutants and placing an employee in imminent danger of death, causing his death. The company was ordered to pay a criminal fine of $8 million and $4 million in restitution, $2 million to the employee’s family and $2 million to Louisiana for related state operations.
