Bloomberg Names New Appointee on 9/11 Illnesses

An article in nydailynews.com discusses Mayor Bloomberg’s appointment of Jeffrey Hon, former spokesman for the American Red Cross September 11 Recovery Program, to handle the health care concerns of 9/11 workers.

Ground Zero workers and their advocates will keep close watch as to whether their legal claims—for workers’ compensation and negligence at the WTC site—are redressed in a significant way.

According to the article, Hon stated: “It’s going to be an extremely complicated, challenging position.”
