What our soldiers really need: Lawyers

From USA Today:

What our soldiers really need: Lawyers

You’ve heard the stories of injured troops suffering unconscionable indignities and sub par care upon returning from the battlefields of Iraq. What you may not know, though, is that these same soldiers have no recourse when negligence maims or even kills them. Servicemembers have no voice in a court of law.

By Jonathan Turley

The president and Congress have been falling over themselves to pledge better care for our wounded veterans in the wake of the scandal over "squalid" conditions at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center that included mold, rats, cockroaches, rotting walls and callous treatment of patients. The president has empanelled the perfunctory "blue-ribbon commission." The hospital walls have literally been whitewashed, so politicians can use them again as backdrops for speeches about "nothing being too good" for our troops. Yet no one is talking about the one thing that soldiers and sailors are most desperately lacking: They don't need another spit and polish; they need lawyers. (keep reading)

If you liked this Walter Reed episode, the best there is in Army Medicine, you will love it when the same people take over the entirety of US health care.

Lawyers are embedded with military units. They cancel field orders. These are like the Soviet commissars who enforced political correctness in the Soviet army.

They have emasculated our warriors, by fear of prosecution and litigation. Come the next terror attack, you will be able to thank a terrorist lover lawyer for saving the lives of countless terrorists.

Come the next terror attack, I would support the arrest of the entire cult hierarchy for internal treason, brief one hour trials, consisting solely of the public reading of their decisions, and their summary executions behind the courthouse.

Embedding lawyers with our lawyer emasculated warriors is irresponsible.

Supremacy Claus,
You are a troll. Comparing lawyers to terrorists? That's just sad and a ridiculous leap of "logic".

Go back to the Bushes from whence you came!

Steve: This left wing hater describes the cancellation of the firing of a Predator rocket by a JAG at the limousine of Mullah Omar, after the JAG intimidated Tommie Franks.
