Workers’ compensation makes insurance companies rich
South Carolina Senate Democratic Caucus Blog:
Business, and particularly small business, is paying too much for workers’ compensation insurance. The insurance industry would have you believe the reason is that greedy injured workers are receiving too much for lost wages and medical care. The truth is that the insurance industry is getting filthy, stinking rich due to a change in the law that allows insurance companies to set their own premiums. (keep reading)
