Katrina Homeowners’ Lawsuit Settlement Withdrawn

Statement of plaintiffs’ lawyers from Scruggs Katrina Group Blog:

On Monday we at SKG decided to temporarily withdraw our attempt to get Court approval for the Katrina class action settlement we reached with State Farm in late January.
We did not enter into this decision lightly. We have always believed that a voluntary global resolution process that pays hundreds of millions of dollars to settle all State Farm Katrina claims, not just the small number of slab cases, is in the best interest of the vast majority of State Farm policyholders on the Gulf Coast.
