Democratic congressman seeks information on marketing from drug, device makers

(AP) - NEW YORK-A senior Democratic congressman disclosed that he sent letters last week to three drug makers and two medical device makers requesting information about their marketing.

U.S. Rep. Henry A. Waxman of California, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, said Monday that he sent the letters as part of the committee’s ongoing oversight of the research and marketing practices of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. (keep reading)
