Keeping The Message Simple: “‘Tort reform’ simply harmed injured people”
Here’s an op-ed in the Clarion-Ledger responding to a previous piece which argued that the recent success of tort “reform” in Mississippi has been good for the state.
Some people haven’t forgotten the “tort reform” wars of 2002 and 2004. No, despite what you say in your Sept. 18 editorial (“Tort reform: Musgrove’s efforts paying off”), some of us actually do remember that no doctors were leaving, no hospitals closed, and only one mismanaged “med mal” insurance company left the state.
